Mike Rossetti, Secretary
- Years lived in Ohio: I have lived in Ohio for my entire life, with the except of a fabulous year in Shanghai, China.
- Profession: This is my second year as a lecturer in the mathematics department at The University of Akron. So far, I mostly have been responsible for Algebra classes.
- Years with the club: I started with the club in 1999 during my freshman year of college. I was away during graduate school and the year abroad. I am happy to be back with the club.
- Club positions held: I had been treasurer in the past.
- Years observing: I bought my first and only scope in the Summer of 2000 after borrowing club telescopes.
- Formal astronomy training: One semester at Walsh University, I had a class taught by fellow club member Dave Gill. I read a lot, aside from that.
- Special interests: the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, variable stars, near Earth objects, planetariums, history of astronomy
- Scopes presently owned: Orion SkyQuest 8" f/6 Dob. It is a nice scope.
- Type of observing most interested in: Winter…brrr…no thanks.
- Visions for the club: I love that the club has much knowledge and friendship to offer. I would like the club to consider relentlessly ways to use its talents. I feel that membership and activity is not as great as it used to be, and I hope to see those pick up a bit.
